We had a great time in 2016, and we hope you did as well! Thanks to our sponsors for backing this great event. And a special thanks to the River Valley and all our Triathlon participants, it couldn't have happened without you!
Directions: The start and finish of the race take place adjacent to Russellville’s disc golf course and slalom ski recreation area on Lake Dardanelle. Parking for the race will be on the disc course on Vegas Road. To get there, take I40 to Exit 81 (approximately an hour east of Fort Smith or an hour west of Little Rock). Go north off the exit onto Hwy 7 and proceed approximately ¼ mile and then take a left hand turn on Pleasant View Rd. The transition and starting location will soon be on right. Proceed past the transition area and take a right onto Linker Lane and the entrance to the parking lot (Vegas Road) will be on the right side a few hundred yards after turning right on Linker Lane.
TAILGATE SETUP & TEARDOWN: You may begin setting up your Tailgate spot the Friday evening before the event. Security will be on hand all night. The park will be open to drive your vehicle directly to your spot to unload and setup until 9am Saturday morning. After this time, the park entrance will be closed to through traffic, and you will have to bring anything more in through the event entrance. For those unfamiliar with the sport, dragon boating simply put, is a boat of 10 paddlers, a drummer and a steers person paddling to cross the finish faster than their competition. It's a team sport in its purest form that encompasses the elements of power, speed, synchronization and endurance. In 2016 competitors were a little unsure about the new idea of "dragon boat races," but at the end of the day they loved it! Now they're even more excited about 2017's competition! You provide the team, we’ll provide the rest!
Baggo is exciting, challenging bean bag games the whole family can enjoy! Played like horseshoes, this bean bag game is ideal for good-hearted family fun. Enjoy watching the corporate teams battle it out or jump in and enjoy some good old-fashioned Baggo with the family and friends.
